About JungleGrub Snack Bars
JungleGrub is striving to do right by kids and give them what they need to maintain balanced energy between meals – starting from organically grown ingredients and finishing with…a fun snack bar with the sweetness and taste kids naturally crave!
It isn’t always easy to find time to prepare fresh and tasty treats for our picky eaters…and the competition makes candy bars look a whole lot more appealing to our little ones! JungleGrub comes in two delicious flavors: Berry Bamboozle and Peanut Butter Groove. Both bars have a coating of vanilla icing to add a touch of sweetness in each bite.
JungleGrub snack bars were developed under strict standards to meet most school nutrition guidelines and provide balanced energy…but the kids had the final say; if they didn’t like the taste, we reformulated until they gave us a thumbs up!
Berry Bamboozle
Berry Bamboozle is a big winner with kids! With each bite you get a bit of sweetness from the vanilla icing along with the soft nougat center and a few crispy puffs thrown in to add some fun.
Peanut Butter Groove
Peanut Butter Groove is a blend of soft creamy organic peanut butter
and a few crispy puffs then dipped in a creamy vanilla icing giving it a touch of
sweetness. Peanut Butter is a favorite flavor choice when it comes to kids.
Why USDA Organic?
JungleGrub snack bars are certified USDA organic. That means nothing has been genetically altered or fed growth hormones and of course grown without the use of pesticides. Bottom line - its straight forward food. When you see the USDA logo it should put you at ease that you won’t find things like High Fructose Corn Syrup in the ingredients.
Why 100 Calories?
JungleGrub Snack Bars were formulated as nutritious snacks, not as meal replacement bars. The ideal snack size for kids and adults is 100-200 calories. The ideal snack should also have balanced calories to satisfy the hunger and essential vitamins and minerals to help fill in any nutritional gaps between meals. JungleGrub is a good source of Calcium and excellent source of Vitamin C.
Good Source of Calcium
Kids need at least 800 mg of calcium each day for ages 4-8, and 1300 mg each day for kids 9-13 years of age. Calcium plays a key role in controlling body fluids and muscle contractions as well as building strong bones. Unfortunately, more than 85% of girls and 60% of boys ages 9 to 18 don’t get enough calcium. JungleGrub provides 15% of the daily recommended calcium.
Excellent Source of Vitamin C
Vitamin C plays an important role in developing healthy immune systems and is an antioxidant that helps keep kids and adults healthier. JungleGrub provides 20% of kid’s recommended daily value in vitamin C, which is a great addition to helping kids meet their daily needs.
